Cabins & suites for a nature getaway close to the city
‘To unbound’…to form a world by itself, entirely free. The Unbound is a space to disconnect from Amsterdam’s busy streets, to unwind and reload while at the same time letting you easily re-connect with the city whenever you are ready.
At the edge of Amsterdam West, the estate combines 34 cabins and suites situated in an 11-acre wild garden, vegetable and fruit garden, wellness, yoga barn, restaurant, bar and a swimming pond. An ever-changing scenery, picnic spots and local produce in the kitchen garden, all reflecting the changing seasons.
Location: The Unbound is located on the edge of Amsterdam West, De Tuinen van West. A former wasteland has been transformed into a sustainable estate in between wild gardens, organic vegetable and fruit fields. Just a 20-minute drive from central station.
Rooms: A combination of 34 cabins and suites spread out along an 11-acre wild garden and a central recreation (swimming) pond. All buildings have been constructed on poles to minimize the effect on nature.
Highlights: Relaxing mind and body with a quick city getaway, a yoga barn, recreational pond, lakeside showers and of course the barrel sauna. Easily disconnect from Amsterdam’s busy streets and the must-do mentality and easily re-connect whenever you are ready.
The restaurant serves seasonal dishes and local products from their own garden.
The feel: A glimpse of nature at the edge of the city, combining modern items, natural material and renewed vintage. Simple but comfortable. Boutique meets adventure.
Not to be missed: The barrel sauna on The Unbound estate, the flower picking garden ‘Lokale Bloemetjes’ and fruit picking gardens ‘Fruittuin van West’ in the surrounding area.
